Megalith

A large stone structure or monument, often prehistoric, such as standing stones, chambers, or stone circles.

Stonehenge, passage tombs, and menhirs are familiar megalithic sites. Dating and purpose are still debated for many of them.

Useful posts cite location, known archaeology, and what remains uncertain rather than jumping straight to a single theory.
