Jerome Grand Hotel

The Jerome Grand Hotel occupies the former United Verde Hospital, the largest building in the old copper-mining town of Jerome, Arizona, perched high on Cleopatra Hill above the Verde Valley. Completed in 1926 in a Spanish Mission style, the fireproof, concrete hospital served the mining community until Jerome's decline in the 1950s, after which it stood empty for decades. It was restored and reopened as a hotel around 1996, retaining features such as its original 1926 Otis elevator.
