Hauntings & spirits

Residual haunting

A model where reported activity repeats like a recording, without interacting with living observers.

Residual hauntings are often described as playback of past events — footsteps on a route, voices at a regular time — without awareness of people present.

This is a theory used to organise reports, not a proven mechanism. Pattern notes (time, path, triggers) still help either way.
