Shadow person

A dark humanoid shape, often seen briefly in peripheral vision or low light.

Shadow-person reports are common in bedrooms, hallways, and stairwells. Fatigue, sleep paralysis, and lighting tricks can produce similar silhouettes.

Note time of night, lighting, and whether the figure seemed to move with intention or simply flickered at the edge of sight.
